My Reading Habits
Since I came to Singapore from China in December of 2004, I really wanted to work hard and work smart for my English. I decided to put aside all my chinese books. I started learning in Singapore in Pri 3 in 2005.
As I progressed along, I found that English inspired me in lots of ways. An interesting language.
BOOKS! I know it's the improving factor.
My 1st English book,(if I'm not wrong)is Roald Dahl's "James and The Giant Peach"(don't forget I was still a kid). Interesting plot. Gave me a good impression of English books. After that I read a couple of his books. Enjoyed them I should say.
As I matured, I started to have great interest in fantasy novels. Fightings, actions, unnatural occurences etc really catch my attention. I began to read Garth Nix's Mister Monday and that was the 1st book I refused to put away even in weekend. I intended to read all his books recommended at the back.
In fact, books I really finished reading fully was very few. And I read zero literature so far. But I believe things will get better for me in Hwa Chong, being a student of a white English teacher, Mr Spelmer.(I always wanted to have a white teacher as I'm really curious about English teaching in western countries.)
I don't consider this my reading history, instead, my reading starting point.(As I progres in Hwa Chong Institution.)
This is my Electronic Bookshelf in weread.com
