Aunt's Memorable Read...
I know it isn't quite right since I should interview one of my parents. But my Mum said that she can't remember any
memorable reads.(I think she's simply too busy and tired to think...) She suggested my aunt who is a chinese teacher in China(AWESOME! that's simply PRO!). I think this is alright afterall since my aunt is also my elder.
This is a chinese book, I have to translate what we shared during online chats, here we go...
I love the book "美的历程"("Journey of beauty" as translated)very much, written by Li Ze Hou. This book discovers the arts and literature throughout the five-thousand-year history of China. It introduces, summarises and describes them in a professional and beautiful way.
I'm a literature lover(chinese literature to be exact), I just love chinese, I respect the "sparkling" history passed down by ancestors. Therefore I got hooked on once I read the intro:
This book travels through history, browses those fascinating art pieces and understand the deeper and real meaning of "beauty". ... ... Can you feel it? You are touching, seeing and feeling this civilised country's(China) history in front of you. (Those words represented by dots are just too"BIG!" It's too hard to translate exactly)
The book was only available in library, not sold. I can't be satisfied that this book isn't mine. Thus I copied the whole book when I was studying in university. The whole book has about 160k words and with pictures, it took me 1 to 2 months because study was busy too.
At last, I concluded this after enjoying and losing myself in the book: when creating beauty, what one really needs is cooperating and working with a heart... the real feeling for a certain thing needs to be involved. Just like writing essays, the most touching and beautiful piece is not one with descriptive and splendid sentences, or proved great numbers of famous morals. It should be a piece which the writer puts himself into the situation, a smooth and simple essay but reflecting the writer's emotions in each and every word is an attractive essay, a beauty!
This book caused me to be in love even deeper with my culture, I dreamed plenty of times to work in a museum, but became a teacher of course, still, I never forget to share and pass on what we should know as someone.

Your aunt sounds very inspirational in her reading. She obviously is always looking for ways to study her culture and improve herself. A great role model for you!
