EOY preparation

Nine months have passed and here I am, getting ready for my EOY, first major exam in HCI. As the day drew nearer, I find myself getting nervous automatically. Well the only way, of course, is to get thoroughly ready to challenge those papers. Here's my plan:

First two papers next Thursday, consists of letter of request and narrative writing(if I'm not wrong) for paper 1 and a comprehension for paper 2.

Letter of request: I will check back(refer to my LA file)the format, proper opening and closing first, so to at have at least a smooth beginning. Next I will revise the last piece of letter of request Mr S gave us, I think that's critical, useful ways to expand given info.

Comprehension: I have not done any extra practice on other assessment books, but those practice, tests we had should be enough. I will look at the answer keys given closely and compare with my answers, for all papers I've done. Last but not least is to study the hand out"How To Ace That Dastardly English Paper 2", analysing closely what the questions want is going to help a great deal I believe.

Next two papers are scheduled on the Tuesday after next next Thursday, literature papers for strand 1.(whew, need help...) Consisting of animal farm, 2 questions to choose from, and either poem or prose analysis.

Animal Farm: I will read the book again of course, look back at the summary of the first 5 chaps I did, highlighted parts in the book and the few writing practices we've done. Everything should come back to my mind.

Analysis: CRITICAL!!! I really aim to score for this section. Poet's toolkit will be the first handout I refer closely to, again. Then those practices I've done and the answer keys given are all revising resources for me. I'll most probably choose poem, but those handouts I had for prose analysis I'll check back again of course.

Lastly: Thank you Mr S for those really useful resources. And good luck to myself.
